Egg freezing, the main focus of this blog is much different than embryo freezing. Let's go back to the basics. We all know that in order to create a human life, you must have sperm meet an egg. Embryo freezing requires the use of a man's sperm that will be injected into a woman's egg outside of her body and then held in cryogenic storage tanks until they are ready to be implanted.
Egg freezing is retrieving just the eggs from the woman's body and keeping them in liquid nitrogen until they are ready to be used.
ABC has a great news piece about the difference between egg and embryo freezing.
